Holistic Family Support

Psychologist for 85 poor children, latrines for family homes & materials for after school program

This project provided holistic support for poor families in Sonrisa de Dios neighborhood of Nagarote. 85 children from this neighborhood participate in ongoing after school tutoring, this project purchased books, supplies, computers and furniture to support STEAM classes coordinated with US schools. The project also supported the hire of a psychologist by project partner NicaPhoto to run pre-teen and teen girls groups, parents groups & attend individual cases. Latrines were built for 15 of the poorest families that did not have latrines. Each recipient family participated in a workshop on hygiene and latrine care.
