Detailed description
Conceptualized and applied for in Rotary Year 2017, the project took more than two years of hard work and almost countless hours of planning, brain-storming, hauling, travelling and transversing swollen rivers, cliffs, and mountain passage ways in the mountains of the Northern Philippines home to indigenous people called Aetas. It was a project that tested our mettle and strength as a person and as a club.
To construct Twenty Five (25) Twin Toilets for two villages is no mean feat. But it was in no way accomplished thru the efforts of just a few, but it was only made possible with the cooperation of many clubs. Through the Rotary Foundation, these indigenous people now live with a more dignified life free of the dangers of diseases brought about by unclean habits and sorrounding. The women too can bath and sanitize undisturbed. The children can practice the use of toilets and develop a good sanitation habit to prepare them for the future today. Thanks Rotary Foundation!
