Jeevandaan - Blood Donation Camp

Detailed description

1st Blood Donation Camp was held successfully at General Education Academy in Chembur on the 24th of July 2021. This was led jointly by the Rotaract Club of Deonar and the Rotary Club of Deonar. This camp is a part of the quarterly camps to be held this year. Rtn. Herzel and Rtn. Rajashri led from the front with the team of Rotaract warriors under the able guidance of President Rtr Vasanthraj. Innovative initiatives like the Chembur Station campaign, Personal calls to fellow Rotarians, Posters at shops with the help of the Merchants Association alongwith social media campaigns were used to attract donors to the camp. A yearly agreement has been signed with General Education Academy with the help of Rtn. Naresh Shenoy to organise these camps every quarter. Somaiya Hospital team supported the camp with a high level of efficiency.

The project has been highly impactful since more than 60 footfalls reached the Blood donation camp and 36 bottles were successfully collected despite the partial continuation of lockdown during this Pandemic.
