Coined by Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, "Olats Ang Polio Sa Maynila" means polio is eradicated in Manila
Continuously, our club RC Dewey of Pasay coordinated with the different Barangay Chairman to make sure that every child will get their dose of oral polio vaccine. Together with the RC Dewey member rotarians Maricel, Mike, Milanel and Susan, and DOH doctors Rebecca Arellano and Health Center Volunteers conducted the oral polio vaccination at the Barangay Hall of Barangay 623 District 6 under chairman Ampy Barrameda. A certificate of participation was awarded by the Barangay Chairman to RC Dewey for the 100% success of oral polio vaccine program. Hygiene kits, malunggay tea and snacks were given after the vaccination. The hygiene kits were donated by Proctor & Gamble. It was a successful activity and we felt that the parents as well as the volunteers were so happy with the success of the program. As a Rotarian, Service Above Self in serving humanity once again proved that together we can help in our own little ways in giving time by serving in worthy projects like this.
