Syria Winter Warmth Appeal

Our club has made a donation to ShelterBox in aid of people suffering in Syria

Completed

Detailed description

After fleeing unspeakable violence, families in Syria faced a new danger during the winter of 2019/20. Often arriving in emergency camps with nothing but the clothes on their back, they were totally unprotected from the harsh winter temperatures. There was a real danger of dying from cold due to lack of shelter and warm clothing. They left their homes to flee violence, but needed to be protected from the elements. These were families with children including new-born babies who had no warm clothes and necessities to fight the sub-zero temperatures in Syria. Our club has donated to the Shelterbox Winter Warmth appeal to support these families.
