Detailed description
Rotary Club of Tachia South lights up 500 lanterns painted by community youths on Feb. 12, 2014. This is the 7th Lantern Painting Expo held since 2006. RC of Tachia South must spare out blank lanterns and collect painted ones back in three months time. On the day of light-up, coloring winners with great ideas will be rewarded. The more important is, all attendants will understand more kind and beautiful things in our culture from the subject stories they painted. This Light-Up Expo is held two days before our Lantern Festival Day during our traditional Lunar New Year period. All lanterns will be hanged and showed for two months time to the public in a Taiwan national 3rd class Historical Monument, WenChang Temple, which is built 130 years ago. This Expo helps for community economic and development which has been verified by Taichung City Government from the fact of 420%+ visitors growth. This Expo is also linked to D3460 inbound RYEs culture experiencing program every year since 2011.
