Detailed description
The Revival Centre does valuable work with children in the city of Chernihiv, near Chernobyl. The Centrec specialises in genetic and neurological complications in the second generation after the Chernobyl nuclear disaster. The Clinic is recognised as a centre of excellence by several international agencies. The present minibus has done more than 400,000km but is now too rusty to be repaired. The Rotary Clubs in London, lead by the Rotary Club of Northwick Park, despite many obstacles, got a Rotary Foundation Global Grant to replace the minibus so that more children can travel to the Clinic, and the staff can travel to more clients. The new minibus costs less to run and spends less time being repaired. The Clubs in District 1130 have "partnered" with the Rotary Club of Kyiv-Citi in D-2230 in the Ukraine. Despite the difficulties, the new Minibus was delivered on 10 July 2015, 12 months after the scheduled completion date. No suppliers or Rotary Clubs caused the delays.
