The Rotary Day Event was a combination of 2 events carried out by the Club, the 1st was a Polio Awareness Walk tagged "The Golden Walk" which took place on the 6th of September 2014, between 7:40 am & 11:30 am within Excellence Hotel Axis in Ogba and Berger Roundabout in Ojodu.Members took time to share handbills to residents, motorists to educate them about Rotary, Polio, the good work of RI in eradicating polio and for them to come and join Rotary. The 2nd event was the End of Year Family of Rotary Activities which involved members going to an Orphanage home (St. Monica Orphanage Home at Iju Ishaga, Lagos State) on 19th Dec. 2014 with the donation of various food items, clothing items, Christmas gifts etc for the children of the Home. Also a Family funfair was held on the 20th Dec. 2014 to celebrate Rotarians, their family members, Interactors, Rotaractors and friends. over 100 people were present for these 2 events. they were properly covered & well reported in the News Media
